Stornoway farmers' Market is a web site for the Crofters and growers on the Island of Lewis.

Most produce sold on the stalls has been grown locally

(don't forget the sale of goods act "Let the buyer beware . . .")

Do ask, "Is this grown locally?"

It should be fresh produce, full of taste and flavour. Not our words but what customers say

The stalls are open

Winter  -  9 a.m. - 11.30a.m. December 'till April

Summer  -  8.30 a.m. 'til 1 p.m. (April 'til December).

(We will pack up & dismantle the stall(s) if we have sold everything, empty stalls are pointless)

 You will have to be there really early

because some produce, we just cannot grow enough of;

really fresh Eggs, fruit and tasty vegetables.

We pride ourselves that most produce (except dried produce) was still growing, usually

 24 hours before being offered for sale because it was

mostly grown locally
